WASHINGTON July 10. 2024 (Saba) - The Argentine national team qualified for the Copa America final after beating its Canadian counterpart 2-0 in the match that brought them together at the Matlife Stadium last night, as part of the semi-finals of the Copa America, which is being held in the United States of America until July 15.
The two goals for Argentina were scored by Julian Alvarez in the 23rd minute, and Lionel Messi in the 51st minute.
The Argentine national team had qualified for the semi-finals at the expense of Ecuador (4-2) on penalties, while the Canadian national team qualified at the expense of Venezuela on penalties as well with a score of (4-3).
The Argentine national team will face the winner of the second semi-final match that will bring together Colombia and Uruguay tomorrow morning, Thursday, in the final next Monday, while the Canadian national team will play with the loser for third place next Sunday.
