
SANA'A July 10. 2024 (Saba) - Governor of Sana'a Abdulbasit al-Hadi and Press Secretary of the President of the Republic Sabri al-Darwani on Wednesday inaugurated the training workshop for media cadres in the province.
At the opening of the workshop, Sana'a province appreciated the interest of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency President Mahdi al-Mashat, in developing the media in the province, and his keenness to keep pace with the province's activities, especially in development aspects.
He said "We feel proud of His Excellency President Mahdi al-Mashat's keenness to develop the media in the province, follow up on our activities, and evaluate the level of service provision to citizens in all districts of the province."
During the workshop, which comes within the framework of the program for developing media and social communication skills, Governor al-Hadi affirmed everyone’s readiness to develop media performance to carry out its awareness-raising role in confronting enemies’ misleading, and to highlight the achievements, projects and services provided by the governorate and its directorates and executive offices to citizens.
He touched on the role of local media in keeping up with the achievements and projects being implemented in the governorate within the framework of the development renaissance it is witnessing in all fields, enhancing citizen confidence in the state, and correcting conditions and imbalances, if any.
In turn, the Press Secretary of the President of the Republic reviewed the main tasks and objectives of the national media in creating awareness among citizens and informing them of the conspiracies of the enemies of Yemen that aim to occupy it and enslave its people, and the false misleading campaigns they carry out.
He praised the prominent and notable role of the national media and free media professionals during the American-Saudi aggression, whose effectiveness and influence the enemy recognized.
Al-Darwani stressed that all free media professionals must continue to perform their important jihadi role in confronting the aggression’s deception, lies, and falsification of facts.
He pointed out that one of the most important main objectives of the workshop is to improve and develop the governorate’s media to keep pace with the achievements, projects, and services provided by the governorate and its executive offices to citizens as part of the state’s responsibility to serve the people, and in a way that enhances their confidence in the state.
The Press Secretary of the President of the Republic pointed out the suffering of citizens in the occupied territories from the lack of services and security, the spread of assassinations, high prices and the collapse of the currency as a result of the aggressive policies of the American-led occupation.
He stressed the necessity of building media platforms on social media, responding to all rumors of the aggression media and their mercenaries, strengthening coordination with the official and national media, and translating this into a practical reality.
He praised the efforts of the province's media professionals in keeping up with the province's activities, despite the simple circumstances and capabilities, stressing everyone's keenness to support the media sector so that it plays its desired role in keeping up with achievements and service projects, thwarting the aggression's plans, and exposing its propaganda and lies.
