GENEVA July 08. 2024 (Saba) - A UN rapporteur said on Sunday that "the lack of Western media talk about the Zionist 'genocide' in the Gaza Strip does not mean that the genocide and repression have stopped, but rather confirms that they are being normalized."
According to Sama News Agency, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, stated in a post on her X account: "Wake up, humanity."
The UN rapporteur stressed that "the fact that the Western media does not talk about the Zionist 'genocide' in the Gaza Strip does not mean that the genocide and repression have stopped, but rather confirms that they are being normalized."
Since the seventh of last October, the enemy forces, with American support, have been waging a war on Gaza, which has resulted in more than 125,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than ten thousand missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children.
The Zionist enemy forces continue this war in disregard of the UN Security Council resolutions to stop it immediately and the orders of the International Court of Justice to end the invasion of Rafah (south), to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
