WASHINGTON July 06. 2024 (Saba) - US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, called on his Zionist counterpart, Yoav Gallant, on Friday, to stop the military escalation and support ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve what he described as the “conflict” in the Gaza Strip.
Local media reports, citing the Pentagon, reported that Austin, in a phone call, expressed his support for the ongoing efforts to finalize a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
The US Secretary of War, Le Gallant, reaffirmed the United States' strict commitment to the security of the occupying entity in defending itself.
Since the first day of the war on the Gaza Strip, on the seventh of last October, Washington pledged to send military shipments worth billions of dollars to the usurping entity, through which the enemy army committed a genocidal war against the defenseless residents of the Strip, which claimed the lives of more than 38,000 martyrs and 87,000 wounded.
