A video recording of the incident captured the perpetrator directly assaulting two soldiers with a knife before attacking a settler. The soldiers responded by opening fire on the assailant.
According to reports from Zionist sources, a paramedic mentioned that one of the injured was in serious condition and later succumbed to his wounds, as confirmed by Zionist Channel 11. The incident took place on the second floor of a mall in Karmiel, as reported by Zionist Channel 14.
Zionist authorities indicated they received information about the stabbing carried out by a Palestinian in Karmiel, resulting in serious and minor injuries to two individuals.
The enemy forces opened fire on the attacker before he was declared a martyr, while occupation forces were deployed in the area.
According to reports, the martyr was identified as Jawad Rabie from the village of Kafr Nahaf in the Galilee, near the city of Karmiel. The Zionist Hadashot Bazman website mentioned that the attacker hailed from Deir al-Assad area in the Upper Galilee.
Subsequently, occupation forces carried out arrests related to the incident: the attacker's mother and brother were detained from the scene, taken away blindfolded.
Further operations included the storming of the village, where the attacker's father and several relatives from Nahaf were also arrested. Tear gas was deployed to disperse gatherings at the site.
The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine praised the attack in Karmiel, describing it as a heroic operation against settlers who occupy Palestinian land.
They emphasized that such actions signify resistance as the chosen path for Palestinians to reclaim their land and counter the enemy's aggressive policies and crimes.
In June 2024 alone, reports indicate that three Zionists were killed and 25 enemy soldiers and settlers were injured across 356 documented acts of resistance.
