MOSCOW July 01. 2024 (Saba) - Russian forces on Monday claimed responsibility for downing nine Ukrainian drones over Bryansk province.
Russian news agencies quoted the governor of the province as saying that air defense systems shot down nine Ukrainian drones over the area, with no reports on injuries or material damage.
The air defense forces destroyed seven drones over the Tropchevsky region and two over the Karachevsky region, Alexander Bogomaz added.
Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of 36 Ukrainian drones over the provinces of Kursk, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Bryansk, Oryol and Belgorod.
Ukraine has in recent months stepped up drone attacks on Russian regions. It is noteworthy that Russia began a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and it does not seem to be close to ending in light of Moscow's emphasis on continuing its own operation until its full objectives are achieved.
