
RAMALLAH June 30. 2024 (Saba) - The Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club on Sunday said the Zionist enemy forces have arrested more than 9,450 Palestinian citizens from the occupied West Bank and Quds, since the start of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people.
This toll includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage, the authority and the club said in a joint statement on Sunday.
During the past two days, enemy forces arrested at least 20 citizens from the West Bank, including brothers and former prisoners, and the arrests were distributed among Hebron, Tulkarm, Nablus, and Quds governorates, the statement added.
He pointed out that during the arrest campaigns, enemy forces continue to carry out widespread raids and abuse, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.
