MOSCOW June 30. 2024 (Saba) - Vladimir Saldo, Governor of the Russian Kherson Province, said the Russian forces expelled Ukrainian militants from the left bank of the Province.
"The fighting is now taking place on the islands in the direction of Kherson, where the fighting has moved to the islands, our army has intensified its operations and the enemy has been expelled from the left bank," the Russia Today channel website quoted Saldo as saying.
Saldo pointed out that the islands located in the direction of Kherson are considered one of the sections of contact with the enemy, and the rest of the region has a natural border - the Dnieper River.
Earlier, artillery crews of D-30 howitzers of the Northern Group of Forces destroyed camouflaged positions of the Ukrainian army in the area of the special military operation.
A group of the Russian army also attacked a quarry in Zaporozhe Province, where there is a warehouse of ammunition and military equipment belonging to the Ukrainian forces.
