RAMALLAH June 30.2024 (Saba) - Hundreds of disabled people have been martyred and tens of thousands of people suffered variable disabilities following the Israeli offensive, the Palestinian national organizations network's rehabilitation sector said on Saturday, noting that most of the victims were children.
The sector warned against the Israeli persistent aggression serious consequences on the disabled people's reality and life, amid unprecedented humanitarian disaster in Gaza Strip.
The occupier destroyed infrastructure, main roads and offices of rehabilitation groups, further curbing the disabled people's accessibility to services and minimizing chances of movement and evacuation, it said.
Severe shortage in water, food, energy, medicine and natural therapy put the disabled in jeopardy, the center warned, with many of the disabled facing multiple difficulties in unsuitable shelters overcrowded with IDPs.
