OCCUPIED AL-QUDS June 30.2024 (Saba) - Jerusalemite /Maqdesi Authority warned on Sunday of the escalating policy of forced demolition of Jerusalemites' homes and forcing Palestinians to demolish their homes.
According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the Islamic Authority for the Support of al-Quds and Holy Sites explained in a statement that the demolition of Jerusalemites' homes has witnessed an unprecedented acceleration since the beginning of this year.
The Authority indicated that the Zionist enemy authorities demolished dozens of homes and facilities or forced their owners to demolish them under the pretext of not obtaining permits.
It stressed that the enemy is using the pretext of Jerusalemites not obtaining building permits to achieve political goals to displace them, empty their city, and create an imbalance in the demographic balance in favor of the settlement presence in the holy city.
It indicated that the acceleration of the demolition of Jerusalemites' homes coincides with the escalation of the pace of new settlement projects and the construction of thousands of colonial units in various neighborhoods of the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Commission called on the international community to break its silence and intervene effectively and seriously to stop the war of genocide, forced displacement and ethnic cleansing to which the Palestinian people are being subjected, and to take effective measures to deter the enemy from continuing to commit these crimes.
