
GAZA June 29 . 2024 (Saba) - The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, announced on Friday that its members were engaged in fierce clashes from a distance with the Zionist enemy forces penetrating into the neighborhood of Shujaiya, east of Gaza City.
Al-Qassam confirmed in a military statement on Friday evening that its members caused deaths and injuries in the ranks of the enemy army, pointing to the landing of Zionist helicopters to evacuate them.
Earlier, the Qassam Brigades confirmed the targeting of a "Merkvah" tank with a "Al-Yassin 105" shell near the Japanese Garden junction south of the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah.
It also confirmed that it destroyed a gathering of enemy soldiers and vehicles penetrating Baghdad Street in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, with mortar shells, in addition to targeting a troop carrier with a "Al-Yassin 105" shell in the Al-Brazil neighborhood, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, and targeting a Zionist tank of the type "Merkvah 4" with a "Al-Yassin 105" shell in the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Later, Zionist media reported that four Zionist soldiers were killed and at least five wounded in clashes in Shujaiya in Gaza.
It added that the enemy forces penetrating into the Gaza Strip suffer from three difficult security incidents, especially in the Shujaiya axis, Rafah and Deir al-Balah.
The Zionist website Hadashot Bazman reported: "Three difficult incidents against the Israeli army forces in the Gaza Strip, where a booby-trapped building collapsed and two tunnels booby-trapped by the forces exploded."
Zionist media websites affiliated with the settlers also drew attention on the Telegram platform that the other two events were the collapse of a booby-trapped building "and there are soldiers under the rubble", and the explosion of two tunnels in the occupation forces as well.
Israel Without Censorship said two enemy soldiers were killed in the Shujaiya neighborhood, a third was critically wounded, and an evacuation helicopter landed at Hadassah Hospital. Israeli army helicopters are evacuating wounded soldiers to Assuta hospital in Ashdod.
Hadashot reported that enemy army helicopters were evacuating soldiers wounded in the Rafah battles.
