DAMASCUS June 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Syrian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to work to stop the ongoing crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip in particular and in the rest of the Palestinian territories.
In a statement, the ministry called for declaring the "army" of the Zionist enemy as a "criminal" army and holding its government and leadership accountable under international law for the crimes they committed "against the Palestinians and humanity."
The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in its statement that the talk of the Zionist enemy and its allies about expanding the war is only a reflection of what Syria has warned about since 1948 until now.
She said: "The countries of the world have no choice but to rush to stop the crimes committed by Israel against international law, international humanitarian law and the Charter of the United Nations," and considered that the international inability to enforce the law and respect the rights of the Palestinian people on the Zionist government encourages enemy leaders to continue the war of extermination.
The ministry noted the absence of a trace of the international community's condemnation of the crimes of the Zionist enemy entity and its leaders, who made genocide "their slogan and goal they seek."
