Gaza health ministry mourns director of ambulance services killed in Nazi airstrike
[24/ June/2024]
GAZA June 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the martyrdom of Hani al-Jaafari, Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services in Gaza, as a result of Zionist enemy targeting of the Daraj Clinic in Gaza.

In a statement issued early Monday, the Ministry of Health mourned, represented by its Deputy Minister Youssef Abu al-Reesh and all its staff, with great pride and honor their martyr Hani al-Jaafari, Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ma'an News Agency.

The statement said, "The martyr represented, along with his fellow paramedics, a solid model of steadfastness, determination, and sacrifice as they tirelessly performed their humanitarian duty in evacuating the wounded and martyrs around the clock despite the Israeli bombing and threats, which flout all international conventions and treaties."

It affirmed its determination to continue its medical humanitarian duty despite systematic targeting and direct killing, which has so far claimed the lives of 500 healthcare personnel and the arrest of more than 310 others under harsh and inhumane conditions.

The Ministry of Health renewed its call to the international community, its organizations, and human rights institutions to halt Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, protect its healthcare system and personnel, and pursue the Israeli occupation for its genocidal crimes against our people and deliberate killing of healthcare and humanitarian workers.

Civil defense reported retrieving the bodies of two martyrs employed by the Ministry of Health and evacuating several injuries after Israeli occupation aircraft targeted the Daraj "Bandar" clinic in central Gaza City last night.
