MOSCOW June 13. 2024 (Saba) -The Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences announced on Thursday, that an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Kamchatka, eastern Russia.
The center's report, according to what was reported by the Novosti News Agency, stated: "The earthquake occurred in the Pacific Ocean off the eastern coast of Kamchatka, 87 kilometers from the village of Ust-Kamchatsk."
The report added: The strength at the epicenter of the earthquake reached 5.9, and on the coast the strength of the earthquake reached four degrees.. indicating that the depth of the epicenter of the earthquake was 52 kilometers below the seabed.
The report confirmed that there were no injuries or damages.
