BAYDA June 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, inspected today,Tuesday, the progress of work in removing the remnants of war in Aqabat Thara, in support of the initiative to unilaterally open Al-Bayda-Abyan road.
Governor Idris, along with the Director of the Makairas District, Yasser Jahlan, listened to an explanation from the specialists about the progress of work in removing the dirt barriers and restoring the turns and bridges of the Thara Aqaba, which were damaged as a result of the aggression, as well as the rehabilitation and maintenance of the road.
He pointed out that the initiative includes opening the road, removing war remnants, beginning road maintenance and security work, praising the efforts of the technical and engineering teams, concerned authorities and volunteers who continue their work by removing obstacles, dirt mounds and waste.
For his part, the Director of the Directorate called on the other party to bear responsibility in alleviating the suffering of travelers, removing waste and barriers, and responding to citizens’ demands.
They affirmed their support for the local authority and security services in implementing the initiative to alleviate the suffering of citizens and maintain security and stability.
