DHAMAR June 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Puplic Electricity Corporation (PEC) announced the resupply of the electric power transmission line (132 kV), extending from the main substation in Dhamar to the main substation in Ibb, with a high voltage of 132 thousand volts, starting today, Tuesday.
A statement issued by the branch of the General Electricity Corporation in Dhamar region - received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) - warned citizens against approaching the power transmission towers and lines spread across the path from Dhamar city to Ibb city.
He stressed that the high-voltage lines carried through the towers in the aforementioned path will be a carrier and feeder of high-voltage electrical current on an ongoing basis, indicating that the dangers of approaching the high-voltage lines will be serious and fatal.
The statement called on all segments of society in Dhamar and Ibb provinces located within the path of high-voltage lines to contribute to raising awareness and warning about the danger of approaching towers and the paths of power lines in order to preserve the safety of lives.
The statement confirmed that the General Electricity Corporation disclaims responsibility for any damage resulting from approaching energy transmission lines and towers in general or building near them.
