BAYDA June 10. 2024 (Saba) - The local authorities leadership in Al Bayda and Abyan provinces announced a unilateral initiative to open Al Bayda-Abyan road.
The governors of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris and Abyan Saleh Al-Hunaidi, confirmed that the initiative translates the directives of the revolution leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, the head of the Supreme Political Council, and in response to the demands of citizens of Al-Bayda and Abyan provinces to open Thara Aqabat road.
They pointed out that the initiative includes opening the road, removing war remnants, beginning road maintenance and security work.
They also confirmed that the technical , engineering teams and concerned authorities have begun removing obstacles, earth mounds , waste and preparing to open the road.
Idris, Al-Junaidi, and the Director of the Makairas District, Yasser Jahlan, called on the other party to bear responsibility in alleviating the suffering of travelers and removing waste and barriers on the roads under its control.
In turn, a number of sheikhs and notables of Al-Bayda and Abyan expressed their thanks to the revolution leader and the local authority for responding to their demands to open Al-Bayda-Abyan road.
They affirmed their support for the local authority and security services in implementing the initiative to alleviate the suffering of citizens , maintain security and stability.
