GENEVA June 08. 2024 (Saba) -The United Nations Children's Fund "UNICEF" confirmed today, Saturday, that "the children of the Gaza Strip live in tragic conditions full of "violence, terror and insecurity", instead of going to school they flee in search of security.
It added in a post on its account on the X platform: "Instead of going to school, the children of Gaza flee from violence, instead of sleeping in safety with their families they suffer living in temporary tents, and instead of enjoying a happy childhood they see horror."
The UN organization renewed its call for "a ceasefire, the release of hostages and allowing unhindered access to aid to the Gaza Strip."
Since October 7, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza that has left more than 120,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and about ten thousand missing amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
