GAZA June 8. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas on Friday said the Zionist continued targeting of UNRWA headquarters and schools that shelter the displaced is a continuation of the crime of genocide against the defenseless Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, and a disregard for all international laws and conventions that emphasize the protection of civilians.
Hamas said in a statement that the enemy bombed the Asma School in the Beach camp west Gaza, leaving tens of displaced killed or injured.
Hamas pointed out that the Zionist enemy, since the beginning of its aggression, deliberately targeted civilian gatherings, especially in UNRWA schools and headquarters, destroying or damaging about 148 facilities, in which hundreds of displaced people, most of them children, women and the elderly, were killed.
It is time for the United Nations and the international community to work vigorously to form commissions of inquiry into these crimes and to hold the enemy's criminal leaders accountable and punish them, Hamas added.
The movement held the Biden administration fully responsible for these ongoing crimes, by continuing to provide the Zionist entity with weapons and equipment, as well as political and diplomatic support, and to terrorize and obstruct international justice from taking its role in stopping this genocide and holding the perpetrators accountable.
