GAZA June 08. 2024 (Saba) -The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip launched an urgent appeal to the international community and its international and relief institutions this morning, Saturday, to provide generators for hospitals in the Gaza Strip
The ministry said in a press statement reported by the "Palestine Today" news agency: "The ministry has been relying on generators for nine months to supply hospitals with the necessary electrical power around the clock after the destruction of the only power plant in the Gaza Strip.
It added: "A number of generators in hospitals have suffered major technical malfunctions that are difficult to repair, and the other number has been directly destroyed by the brutal occupation." It indicated that it expects the generators in the remaining hospitals, health centers, and drug warehouses to stop as a result of preventing the entry of spare parts needed for their maintenance.
The ministry stressed that the stoppage of generators means certain death for patients and the injured and the end of the entire health service in the Gaza Strip. It confirmed that the Zionist enemy forces deliberately destroyed the generators in the Al-Shifa Complex, the Nasser Complex, the Indonesian Hospital, and Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza In order to take it out of service.
