DHALE' June 08. 2024 (Saba) - The Acting Governor of Al-Dhale', Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, and the Director-General of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance, Eng. Shihab Al-Shami, inspected a number of community initiative projects, rural road projects, and others in Damt and Juban districts in the province.
Al-Shaghdari and Al-Shami listened to an explanation from those working in the field about the achievement level and the difficulties facing the implementation process.
During the visit, the Acting Governor stressed the keenness of the local authority leadership to work in a team spirit with the representatives and staff of the unit, which contributes to the success of the unit’s work in all projects.
For his part, the Director of the Interventions Unit explained that the total projects being implemented with the support of the Interventions Unit in the province are 145 projects in all fields, at a cost of five billion and 65 million and 669 thousand riyals, to which the unit contributes an amount of one billion and 273 million and 473 thousand riyals.
He pointed out that the initiative projects in the province include 126 projects in the field of roads, 12 in the field of education, and seven projects in the field of water (barriers and dams).
Engineer Al-Shami indicated that his visit to the governor comes as part of field visits to the provinces in implementation of the directives of the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, to determine the level of implementation of initiative projects and work to solve all problems that obstruct executive work.
He stressed the unit's keenness to support all efforts aimed at activating , stimulating community initiatives , advancing development , service work in the province's directorates and villages.
