
HODEIDA May 20. 2024 (Saba) - Yahya Attifah, Chairman of the Yemeni Public Corporation for Cement Industry and Marketing, on Monday inspected the progress of the full operational restart of the Bajil Cement Plant in the Hodeida province at its full production capacity.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the factory's leadership and staff to discuss and evaluate the current status of the factory, the progress of the phased restart, plans for enhancing the production and marketing processes, and ensuring the continuity and sustainability of operations.
Attifah emphasized the importance of preserving the factory as one of Yemen's most crucial economic establishments.
He stressed the significance of the factory's return to operation at a high pace, given its pivotal role in the national economy. He pointed out the importance of developing and modernizing the factory's operations, maintaining its machinery and equipment, and utilizing the factory's personnel, expertise, and technicians.
Attifah familiarized himself with the factory's operational mechanisms, the performance of its facilities, manufacturing, packaging, marketing lines, cement mills operation, automated packaging section, and other supporting departments.
He listened to a brief explanation from the factory's director, Engineer Faisal Abdo Ahmed, about the factory's conditions, updates to the production lines, expansion, partial operation, cement mills operation, automated packaging section, and other challenges facing the full operational restart of the factory at its full production capacity.
The factory's general manager praised the leadership of the corporation for supporting the factory's restart and driving the production forward.
He highlighted the efficiency of the factory's personnel in solving technical and mechanical problems and maintaining equipment and machinery.
The Chairman of the Cement Corporation reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Industry and the Corporation's leadership to increase the production capacity of the Bajil Cement Plant and strive to achieve full production capacity and improve the quality of interim production.
