ISLAMABAD May 16. 2024 (Saba) - The Pakistani Armed Forces have successfully launched the homemade Fatah 2 missile system.
Pakistan's defence ministry said in a statement on Thursday that the purpose of the experiment was to verify the technical parameters and technical systems used.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Saher Shamshad Mirza congratulated the armed forces and system developers on the results of the experiment.
The system is equipped with a satellite guidance system, as the missiles are capable of hitting targets with high accuracy at a distance of up to 400 km.
According to Pakistani media reports, the system was manufactured and developed by the Pakistani company "Geddes", and is considered an analogue of the American "Hemars" system, and was tested for the first time in Pakistan in August 2021.
