DHAMAR May 11. 2024 (Saba) - Members of Dhamar University organized today,Saturday, a protest in condemnation of the continuing massacres against the Palestinians , in solidarity with the academic and student movement in American and European universities who are being subjected to repression and arrests due to their stance in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip.
In the protest in which the President of Dhamar University, Dr. Muhammad al-Haifi, his deputies, deans of colleges, academic , administrative staff, and students participated, the participants chanted slogans denouncing the war of extermination, forced displacement, and the siege committed by the Zionists against the Palestinian people.
A statement issued by the movement affirmed the Yemeni people’s firm and principled position in support of the Palestinian cause and against the Zionist enemy and its supporters from America , Britain and their tools.
The statement praised the position of the students and academics of American and European universities, whose humanitarian and moral values prevailed over the positions of their governments , regimes, and they emerged in a movement in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, which has been subjected for more than eight months to the most horrific massacres and war of extermination that history has ever witnessed, in the face of shameful silence , disappointment internationally and regionally. .
It condemned the suppression and arrest of regime governments in countries around the world of the student and academic movement opposing the crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza.
The statement called on all liberal students of Arab and Islamic universities and various peoples of the world to take action and put pressure on the regimes and governments to take a position in support of the Palestinian cause , stop the massacres and war of extermination committed by the Zionist enemy against the people of Gaza.
The statement denounced the silence of the international community and its ignorance of the horrific massacres, genocidal war, forced displacement, and siege that prevents the entry of various necessities of life into Gaza Strip.
