SANA'A May 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Minister of Fisheries in the caretaker government, Muhammad Al-Zubairi, inaugurated the second fish selling point in Bani Al-Harith District in the capital secretariat.
The inauguration of the point of sale comes within the economic empowerment projects for poor families, with the support of the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, the Ministry of Fisheries, the Capital Secretariat, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, the Fisheries Cooperative Union, the Agricultural , Fisheries Initiatives and Projects Financing Unit in the Secretariat.
Al-Zubairi pointed out that the goal of these points is to alleviate the burden on citizens in light of the current difficult living conditions of the citizen as a result of the aggression and siege, pointing out that the Ministry is moving to generalize this experience to many places and regions, with a focus on population density.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the Internal Trade Sector, Muhammad Qatran, explained that this project will create competition in order to provide fish to citizens at competitive prices, less costs and better quality, after the citizen suffered during the previous period from high fish prices.
In turn, the Undersecretary of the Capital Municipality for Agricultural Affairs, Muhammad Saree, pointed out the importance of this project in enabling poor families to work and earn a living , providing fish to citizens at reasonable prices and in multiple places, which will make fish accessible to everyone.
