SANA'A May 10. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expects rain of varying intensity in a number of provinces , hot weather in desert and coastal areas during the next 24 hours.
According to the weather forecast issued by the centre, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in parts of Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit and Ibb provinces.
Scattered rains of varying intensity fell outside the range of weather monitoring stations in parts of Al-Mahwit, Dhamar, Taiz, Lahj, Al-Bayda, Abyan Heights, Shabwa and Hadramaut provinces.
The center warned citizens of the flow of torrents in the reefs and valleys, of being in their streams, and of the decline in horizontal visibility on mountain roads due to rainfall and the formation of fog or water mulch.
It also warned citizens in desert areas and coastal plains against direct exposure to the scorching rays of the sun during the afternoon.
