
HODEIDA May 10. 2024 (Saba) - The founding meeting of Buraa Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Society was held in Hodeidah province.
At the meeting during which the association was announced , its administrative and supervisory body was elected, the first deputy governor of the province, Ahmed Al-Bishri, considered the announcement and establishment of the association one of the forms of steadfastness and cohesion to mobilize efforts towards a developmental agricultural revolution to confront economic and development challenges.
He stressed that the establishment and announcement of multi-purpose cooperative societies in the province’s directorates comes from a standpoint of responsibility to find effective alternatives, programs and projects to advance the agricultural sector and achieve development indicators in various fields.
For his part, Acting President of the Cooperative Union, Mubarak Al-Qili, considered the establishment of these associations an opportunity for self-building and moving towards agriculture, local manufacturing, and development construction.
He stressed the need for coordination and concerted efforts through these associations to achieve ambitions and translate the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to achieve self-sufficiency and confront the current economic repercussions.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the province's Social Affairs Office, the Bonyan Development Foundation, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, and the concerned authorities.
