IBB May 09. 2024 (Saba) - The Board of Directors of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Ibb province, headed by Governor Abdul Wahed Salah, discussed ways to improve cleaning work in the province’s center districts.
The meeting, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the province’s Local Council, Amin Al-Warafi, the President of Ibb University, Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili, and the Director of the Traffic Police, Colonel Khaled Anam, reviewed the field reports of the sector heads, and what had been accomplished in the process of direct removal of waste from the streets and the revitalization of the Fourth District.
The meeting, which included the Deputy Director of the Cleaning Fund in the province, Muhammad Al-Mansoub, and the heads of sectors and regions, touched on aspects related to generalizing the experience of direct waste collection to the rest of the areas affiliated with the Fund in the province center to keep pace with urban expansion and neighborhood units.
Governor Salah stressed the need to redouble efforts to improve the level of cleanliness, carry out afforestation works, and rehabilitate the central islands to improve the general appearance of the city’s streets, pointing out the importance of benefiting from local experiences in dealing with waste.
He stressed the keenness to develop the services provided by the Fund, develop its resources, and encourage distinguished cadres to perform their work.
The meeting included a presentation on the process of direct waste collection and community awareness campaigns within the framework of the Fourth Region, and ten prominent cleaning workers were honored with certificates, sums and symbolic gifts.
