TAIZ May 08. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting chaired by the Undersecretary of Taiz province for Development and Services Affairs, Abdel-Wasi al-Shamsi, discussed the mechanism for activating the role of endowments in the developmental and agricultural aspects and supporting cooperative societies.
During the meeting, which included members of the development team, director of the Endowments Authority branch in the province, Muhammad Al-Ahdal, coordinator of the Bonyan Foundation, Salem Al-Ahdal, and official of the Scholars Unit, Ali Al-Saruri, Al-Shamsi, the Undersecretary, pointed out the importance of activating the outcomes of the development partners’ workshop, and strengthening efforts to advance cooperative work in accordance with the national vision in order to achieve Sustainable development.
In turn, the director of the Endowments Authority branch pointed out the authority’s role in supporting farmers, and the possibility of mobilizing farmers’ contributions, to involve them in cooperative societies in the directorates.
He pointed out the necessity of providing agricultural lands for cooperatives and providing facilities to the farmers contributing to them... pointing to the importance of the participatory aspect in cooperative work, as well as activating the Knights of Development to spread awareness among society.
