Stopping mineral water bottling plant in Al Qaeda city in Ibb

IBB May 07. 2024 (Saba) - The branch of the Public Authority for Water Resources in Ibb Governorate carried out on Tuesday a field visit to a number of mineral water bottling and ice production factories in the city of Al-Qaeda in Dhi Safal district.

The Director General of the Authority's branch in the governorate, Eng. Yasser Al-Sayaghi, explained during the visit, in the presence of the Directors-General of the Directorate, Abdul Rahman Wajih Al-Din, the Local Water Corporation, Eng. Kamal Al-Qattani, and complaints Fawaz Iskandar, that the work of the factories was reviewed and the extent of their compliance with the requirements was ensured.

He pointed out that one of the factories was stopped and the quantities of water in it were seized for practicing work without a permit, and the water did not comply with the requirements for water quality and safety, in addition to producing two varieties with different names, which is a violation of the law and the governing regulations.

He stated that the owner of one of the ice production factories was alerted to the observations that were monitored during the visit to see the mechanism and tools of the factory and the manufacture of ice material, and obligated him to avoid them and abide by the regulations and laws.

The Director General of the Authority stressed that the process of going down to the factories comes within the framework of keenness to follow up on all factories for bottling mineral water and ensure their compliance with the requirements of water safety and quality.

He called on the owners of factories that have not completed their procedures to quickly correct their legal status and abide by the requirements. He stressed that the field campaigns are continuing by the authority's branch, and the violating factories will be seized and closed and their owners referred to the prosecution.
