SANA'A May 07. 2024 (Saba) - Sana'a ministry of electricity and energy today held a press conference to express local and foreign investors' willing to contribute to funding and implementing BOT-oriented energy generation projects.
Based on the national envision, Yemen's needs of energy are estimated at 6,000 megawatts, deputy premier for services and development said, noting that a plan, to apply this envision, included two phases of 1,500 and 3,500 megawatts respectively.
Aggression and siege pushed the ministry to examine potential solutions - including the engagement of the private sector - and introduce this 2-phased plan in order to kick off the first stage, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli added.
