BRUSSELS May 06. 2024 (Saba) - Belgium on Monday warned the Zionist enemy that the possible Zionist military operation in Rafah carries serious repercussions, calling on European Union countries to act on it.
According to Russia Today, Belgian Foreign Minister Hajjah Lahabib explained: "The military offensive on Rafah would kill hundreds of thousands of women, children and men who have no escape."
"This action will have a devastating impact on Palestinians in Gaza and serious repercussions on the occupied West Bank and the entire region, and I can only reiterate the call of the 27 EU countries not to launch a military offensive in Rafah."
The Belgian minister expressed deep concern at the escalation of violence and called for the need to respect human rights and international law.
It stressed the need for joint international action to find a lasting political solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
