ANKARA May 3. 2024 (Saba) -Turkey has denied allegations that Ankara plans to send the S-400 air defense system, which it bought from Russia, to any other country, especially to Ukraine.
Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Guler told CNN today: "There can be no talk about sending the S-400 system to any country." In 2017, Turkey concluded a contract with Russia for the supply of equipment for a full regiment of S-400 air defense missile systems.
These systems were delivered in the summer and fall of 2019. Earlier, the Group of Seven countries also stressed the strengthening of Ukraine's air defense and increased assistance to Kiev in the field of security.
The head of the Turkish company "Baykar" for marches Haluk Bayraktar announced last February that his company had begun construction of a factory for its marches on the outskirts of Kiev to start production in 2025, while the Kremlin vowed to destroy it as part of the disarmament of Oak.
