PARIS April 29. 2024 (Saba) - Protesters expressing their dissatisfaction with the Zionist war on Gaza Strip headed today, Monday, to the Sorbonne University in Paris, chanting: “Free Palestine” at the university gates, while some students set up tents in the courtyard.
According to the Ma'an news agency, days after similar protests at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Paris, the protest at the Sorbonne University was the latest indication that the demonstrations that broke out at American universities are extending to Europe, as the devastating war enters its seventh month.
The protests, which prompted the university to close the building for the day, were peaceful as the students' goal was to urge the university, one of the oldest in the world, to condemn the actions committed by the Zionist enemy forces.
Many students are calling on their university administrations to cut financial ties with the Zionist enemy, due to the large-scale war in Gaza.
