Al-MAHWIT April 22. 2024 (Saba) - The Governor of Al-Mahwit, Hanin Qatina, and the Governor’s General Mobilization Officer, Ismail Sharaf Al-Din, today reviewed the level of medical services at Shibam Kawkaban Hospital.
They inspected the workflow in the operations, inpatient, obstetric emergency, radiology, laboratory, and outpatient departments, and listened to an explanation from the hospital director, Dr. Saleh Al-Sarmi, about the workflow in the various departments.
Governor Qatina praised the efforts made by the hospital leadership and its keenness to improve the level of medical services provided to patients despite limited capabilities as a result of the aggression and siege.
The governor of Al Mahwit and the mobilization official inspected the College of Applied and Human Sciences in Shibam city Kawkaban, which was opened this year to accommodate students from the governorates of Al Mahwit, Sanaa, and Amran.
Governor Qatina praised the achievements made in the first phase of establishing the college affiliated with Al Mahwit University and providing it with academic cadres, equipment and modern laboratories.
He pointed to the role of the university leadership and all academic and administrative leaders in developing the educational process theoretically and practically, pointing to the importance of university education, especially in scientific and medical specializations.
He stressed the local authority's keenness to improve the educational process at the university to achieve academic accreditation for all its programs.
