Judicial Council reviews report on level of discipline in public prosecutions

SANA'A April 22. 2024 (Saba) - The Supreme Judicial Council held its weekly meeting today, headed by the Council’s President, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakkil.

The meeting listened to the Council President’s briefing on the results of the inspection visit he made, along with the Attorney General and the head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, to the courts and prosecution offices of Bani Al-Harith, North Al-Amanah, Arhab, Nihm, and Bani Hashish in Sana’a Governorate, where they were informed of the progress of work and the level of job discipline of their workers yesterday, Sunday.

The Council was directed to take appropriate measures in light of what was included in the results of the visits and to meet the needs of judicial work in the courts, and to work to expedite the completion of cases for citizens.

The Judicial Council reviewed the Public Prosecutor’s report on the level of job discipline for employees in the Public Prosecutor’s Office and public prosecutions, and the legal measures taken against those absent from work during official work following the end of this year’s Eid al-Fitr holiday.

He also reviewed some requests referred by the Office of the Presidency of the Republic regarding reconsidering the judicial rulings issued against some of the complainants, and took the necessary measures regarding them.

The Council discussed a number of topics on its agenda, took appropriate decisions regarding them, and approved the minutes of its previous meeting after making some amendments to it.
