SANA'A April 21. 2024 (Saba) - The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning expects thunderstorms of varying intensity to fall in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it expects thunderstorms of varying intensity, some of which will be heavy, leading to the flow of torrents, sometimes accompanied by hailstones, in Sa'ada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Sana’a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale', Al Bayda, Lahj and Abyan Heights.
The Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected to occur about the flow of torrents into reefs , valleys and advised against crossing them or being in their streams, or crossing land bridges, especially when torrents are flowing.
It also warned of lightning strikes, collapses, rock and mud slides, low horizontal visibility due to rain, low clouds or fog, strong winds descending from nimbus clouds and falling hailstones.
