RAMALLAH April 21. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist enemy forces have launched a massive arrest campaign arresting at least 30 Palestinian citizens from the West Bank, including three women from al-Quds, who were later released, half of them from Nour Shams camp, eastern the governorate of Tulkarm.

According to the Palestinian News Agency citing the Prisoners' and Ex-Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Prisoners' Club said that the arrest operations were concentrated in Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm governorate.

The occupation arrested at least 15 citizens, including children and wounded, so far, the authoirty and the club said, adding there were no real numbers of all detainees.

They pointed out that the total number of arrests after October 7 rose to about 8,340, and includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.

They noted that these arrest campaigns constitute the most prominent consistent and systematic policies used by the occupation forces, and they are also one of the most prominent tools of the (collective punishment) policy, which also constitutes a central tool for the occupation in targeting citizens, in light of the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, after October 7.

They explained that the data related to arrest cases includes those who were kept in detention by the enemy and those who were later released.
