Yemeni Union Authors mourns author Muhammad Al-Masah

SANA'A April 20. 2024 (Saba) - The General Secretariat of the Yemeni Authors and Writers Union mourned the writer and author, Muhammad Al-Masah, who died yesterday, Friday, at the age of 81, spending most of it in the niche of journalism and literature.

The obituary statement, which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), confirmed the enormity of the loss suffered by the Yemeni press and modern Yemeni literature with the departure of a pen the size of the writer Muhammad Al-Masah. He professionalized writing and journalism from an early age and was one of their pioneers. He contributed to the editorship of a number of newspapers, including Al-Thawra newspaper and Al-Yemen Al-Jadeed magazine.

The statement noted the uniqueness of the creative experience of the late surveyor, especially in writing newspaper columns, including the column that was still titled “Moment, O Time,” which represented an important turning point in column writing in the Yemeni press. Through him, the deceased represented a school of journalism with different features and style.
