MOSCOW April 13. 2024 (Saba) - The Russian Ministry of Defense revealed the total losses of Ukrainian forces during the past week. More than 6,685 Ukrainian military personnel were eliminated, 1,712 drones and dozens of Western missiles fired by Ukrainian forces were shot down.
The ministry said in a statement on the progress of the military operation in Ukraine on Saturday: "From the sixth to the 12th of April, Russian forces responded to Ukraine's attempts to damage the oil and gas industry and energy sites in Russia, and directed a wide strike and 47 air, sea and land strikes on fuel storage sites, energy infrastructure and military industrial complexes in Ukraine."
According to the statement, "logistical bases, locations and gatherings of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries were hit."
"About half of the Ukrainian soldiers killed were killed on the Donetsk front, where Russian forces killed more than 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers, while more than 2,130 Ukrainian soldiers were killed on the Avdiivka axis," the ministry said in its statement.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the losses of Ukrainian forces during the week amounted to: "five SAMP/T missile platforms, French and Italian, (S-300) and (S-125) in addition to two radar stations, as well as the downing of an anti-ship missile, 12 French Hummer guided bombs and (JDAM) American, as well as the downing of 25 missiles of the Hemars and Hurricane models, the destruction of 17 Ukrainian tanks and the downing of 1712 Ukrainian drones."
