Expanded meeting discusses preparations for commemorating National Day of Resilience in Capital Secretariat

SANA'A March 25. 2024 (Saba) - An expanded meeting in Shu’ub District, in the Capital Secretariat, headed by the First Undersecretary of the Secretariat, Khaled Al-Madani, discussed the preparation and mobilization to commemorate the National Day of Resilience at the level of the Secretariat’s directorates.

The meeting, which was attended by the Head of the Social Affairs Committee in the two Amanat localities, Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, the Director of the Directorate, Ahmed Al-Shutari, and local leaders and directors of executive offices, reviewed the arrangements for the inauguration of the activities to celebrate the National Day of Resilience in Amanat Al-Asimah districts, which will be held next Wednesday in the Shu’ub District, as well as the progress of Implementing Ramadan program activities and charitable works.


He stressed the need for concerted efforts and focus, during events and field visits to neighborhoods and districts, to enhance community awareness of the importance of commemorating this occasion in a manner befitting the sacrifices made by the Yemeni people in the face of the US-Saudi aggression.

The First Undersecretary of the Secretariat referred to the thousands of brutal massacres to which the people of Yemen were subjected since the launch of the brutal American-Saudi aggression on March 26, 2015, targeting various directorates , provinces, and the beginning of the aggression’s crimes was the bombing Bani Hawat neighborhood in the Bani Al-Harith District, which left dozens of victims, most of them civilians children and women.

In turn, the director of the directorate stressed the keenness to commemorate the National Day of Resilience, move to raise the level of community awareness, and embody the basis of the project, which was established by the martyr President Saleh Al-Samad, “A hand that protects...and a hand that builds,” as a message to the world of the steadfastness of the Yemenis in the face of the forces of arrogant aggression.

While the Deputy Director of the Educational District, Muhammad Al-Makhdi, reviewed the tasks , work that had been implemented, and the follow-up of the establishment of Ramadan program in various mosques and neighborhoods, in addition to charitable works in the directorate, as well as the importance of the role of the executive offices in commemorating the National Day of Resilience through cultural events, stops, seminars and awareness.
