JAWF March 25. 2024 (Saba) - A first phase to establish an agricultural road network project with a total longitudinal distance estimated at 52 kilometers in Jawf province was launched.
The first phase of the project includes establishing an agricultural road network for 10 agricultural roads in six districts, benefiting 23,900 beneficiaries, and agricultural land estimated at 20,800 hectares, at a total cost of approximately 175,773,000 Y.R.
The project is implemented by the community participation and by the contribution of the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, the Roads Executive Unit, the Field Unit, and the Central Emergency Interventions Unit, in coordination with the Agricultural and Fisheries Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.
Jawf province secretary general Ali Humaid stressed the need to support the project and to make maximum efforts as it is one of the priority projects that will contribute to achieving sustainable agricultural development.
Humaid pointed out that the project will constitute a quantum leap in supporting the infrastructure of Jawf as it is one of the provinces that possess large areas of fertile agricultural land rich in abundant water, and natural and human resources.
