[29/ February/2024]
BEIJING February 29. 2024 (Saba) - Chargé d'Affaires of China's Permanent Mission to the United Nations Dai Bing has confirmed that Baadeh will make "relentless efforts to restore peace, save lives, and ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip."

Dai Bing said in his speech before the UN Security Council What is happening in Gaza “violates international law and exceeds the minimum level of human morality and conscience.”

He added "People lack basic safety guarantees and survival supplies, and are constantly confronted with “The danger of death, hunger and disease, and they live in fear and despair every day.”

Dai Bing pointed out that the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolutions 2712 and 2720, which call for the entry of aid and the release of prisoners. However, “due to deliberate obstructions, the entry of humanitarian supplies into Gaza faced many difficulties.”

He called on the Zionist entity to seriously fulfill its obligations, as the occupying power under the Geneva Convention, to fully cooperate in implementing Security Council resolutions, to open all land, sea and air access routes, and to ensure the safe, rapid and unhindered access and entry of humanitarian supplies.

Dai Bing stressed that the Zionist entity must strictly adhere to the requirements of the deconfliction mechanism, ensure the safety of humanitarian agencies and their workers, and must provide the necessary facilities for humanitarian agencies to provide assistance in Gaza.

He pointed out that the International Court of Justice ordered that Israel take measures to prevent genocide and provide the population of Gaza with basic services and humanitarian aid.

The Chargé d'Affaires of China's Permanent Mission to the United Nations stated that UNRWA is the "lifeline" for the residents of Gaza, and its role is "indispensable and irreplaceable."

He also stressed that "an immediate ceasefire is the necessary precondition to protect civilians, provide assistance and mitigate the humanitarian catastrophe."
