AMMAN February 11. 2024 (Saba) - The Jordanian army announced on Sunday the death of two of its pilots, as a result of the downing of a military plane during a training mission in the north of the country.
The Jordan News Agency quoted an official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying that "one of the training planes of the Royal Jordanian Air Force, of the type "GROP", fell during a training tour at King Hussein Air Base in Mafraq, in the north of the country.
The source added that the accident resulted in the death of the crew of the plane, consisting of two officers, one of them with the rank of major and the other with the rank of captain, after they were transferred to Al-Hussein Medical City.
