Islamic Resistance in Iraq targets port of Ashdod
[25/ January/2024]
BAGHDAD January 25. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Resistance in Iraq on Thursday morning carried out a drone bombardment on a target in the port of Ashdod in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Secretary-General of Sayyed al-Shuhada Brigades in Iraq Abu Alaa al-Walai announced the start of the second phase of the Islamic Resistance operations in Iraq, which includes enforcing the blockade on Zionist maritime navigation in the Mediterranean and putting the entity’s ports out of service.

On Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that it had targeted the port of Ashdod in the occupied territories with drones, stressing that it would “continue to destroy enemy strongholds in support of our people in Gaza.”

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been participating in “Al-Aqsa Flood” since October 17, in response to Washington’s support for the Zionist aggression on Gaza.

Since the start of the operations, American forces in Iraq and Syria have been subjected to about 151 attacks, injuring 70 of their soldiers, according to Reuters over the Pentagon.

Resistance operations in Iraq are not limited to American forces, but have also affected Zionist targets, after they expanded the targeting circle in light of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip for more than 100 days.
