DAMASCUS Jan 16. 2024 (Saba) - Today, Tuesday, American forces evacuated their military base in the village of "Hemo" west of the city of Qamishli in the Hasakah countryside in Syria, days after it was subjected to an attack carried out by Islamic resistance factions in Iraq.

Syrian media sources reported today that military reinforcements of American forces arrived at Al-Sinaa prison in the city of Hasakah, coinciding with a helicopter flight overhead.

The "Hemo Base" is considered one of the vital bases for the American forces, as it is four kilometers west of Qamishli Airport. It is one of the bases that the American forces have recently increased their number inside, and the number of American personnel there is now about 350.

The village of Hemo contains a training camp for the Syrian Democratic Forces, under the supervision of the American forces. It is a special camp for training the special forces of the SDF, known as “Hat.”

The Iraqi Islamic Resistance factions targeted the American military base "Hemo", located to the west of Qamishli Airport in northeastern Syria, with a missile launcher, without knowing the extent of the damage to the American base.
