[12/ January/2024]
SANA'A January 12. 2024(Saba)- The total number of customs declarations issued by Sana’a region customs reached five thousand and 763 customs declarations during the past year 2023 AD.

Statistics issued by the region and obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) showed that the number of declarations for goods that were opened during the year reached 2,645, while the number of declarations for cars reached 3,097, and 21 customs declarations for equipment.

Director General of Sana'a Customs, Hussein Al-Hababi, stated that the procedures being taken to open and issue customs data depend on a smooth and simplified automated system, characterized by speed and no delay, including paying fees automatically via CAC Bank.

He pointed out that among the most prominent difficulties facing the progress of performance are the lack of correct approval by importers, the failure to submit the correct required documents, as well as the delay in approvals from the relevant authorities, which leads to obstructing procedures and delaying the completion of transactions.

Al-Hababi pointed out that the region has implemented measures to boycott American and Zionist goods and companies that support the usurping Zionist entity as a minimum duty regarding the crimes and massacres taking place in Gaza Strip and all the occupied Palestinian territories.

He praised the support of Authority Presidency and its keenness to overcome difficulties and provide the capabilities that ensure the speed of procedures and the proper collection of revenues that do not detract from the state’s rights.
