
SANA'A Jan 09. 2024 (Saba) - An expanded meeting was held on Tuesday in Sana'a, headed by the Prime Minister of the caretaker government, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, devoted to discussing legal support for the Republic of Yemen in supporting the oppression of the brotherly Palestinian people and against the war crimes committed and still being committed by the Israeli enemy against our people in the besieged Gaza Strip.
The meeting was discussed in which the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, the National Vision, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, the Ministers of State for the Affairs of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, Dr. Ali Abu Haliqa, the Justice Judge Nabil Al-Azani, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Hussein Hazib, and Human rights Ali Al-Dailami, advisor to the head of the Supreme Political Council, head of the Supreme Committee for Supporting Al-Aqsa, scholar Muhammad Muftah, and director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Taha Al-Sufyani, deputy Minister of Expatriate Affairs, Zaid Al-Riyami, in addition to representatives of the Yemeni Bar Association and representatives of the Palestinian resistance movements in Sana'a, explained the legal steps necessary to be taken to file lawsuits before the International Court of Justice and the courts of European countries, which allow lawsuits to be filed by people against international figures who have committed war crimes.
It was stressed the need for the concerted efforts of all participants in the meeting in order to prepare a comprehensive and accurate file on all the war crimes of genocide and cleansing and the grave violations to which the Palestinian people have been exposed in the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, in addition to the various crimes and massacres committed by the Zionists since 1948 AD, taking into account the benefit in this aspect of the documents available to our Palestinian brothers.
The meeting stressed the importance of filing a lawsuit before the Prosecutor of the International Court of Justice against the state of the Israeli entity and its leaders who committed war crimes against the Palestinians, led by the current prime minister of the entity, this is within the fraternal, humanitarian and moral obligations of the Yemeni people to support and support their brothers in occupied Palestine and in harmony with their military and naval role to support Gaza and its oppressed people.
Dr. Bin Habtoor stressed that solidarity with the Palestinian cause and supporting Gaza and the Palestinian resistance in general should include all aspects, including the legal field, regardless of the current political circumstance, which should not stand in the way of Sana’a carrying out its duty in this field, explaining the importance of bringing together What evidence can be collected about all the crimes and massacres of the Israeli enemy, its violations of the basic human rights of the Palestinian people, and its destruction of all aspects of life in Gaza, in preparation for turning it into a file condemning the Zionist entity and its criminal leaders.
The meeting formed a working group headed by Lieutenant General Al-Ruwaishan and the membership of the Ministers of State, Dr. Abu Haliqa and Ministers of Justice and Human Rights, in addition to a team of lawyers headed by Attorney Abdul Rahman Al-Najjar, to prepare the file, and the two teams will begin their work from tomorrow, Wednesday.
