SANA'A December 19. 2023 (Saba) - The Speaker of the Shura Council, Muhammad Hussein Al-Aidaroos, sent a letter to the President of the Council of Advisors of the Kingdom of Morocco - the President of the Association of Senates, Shura Councils and Similar Councils in Africa and the Arab World and the heads of the Senate, Shura Councils and similar councils regarding the latest developments in the situation in The Palestinian territories and Yemen’s clear and principled position regarding the aggression against Palestine.
Below is the text of the message:
The Shura Council of the Republic of Yemen extends its thanks and appreciation to you for your efforts to enhance cooperation between Arab and African countries in various humanitarian fields, and to work to contribute to achieving security and peace in Africa and the Arab world.
While we praise your efforts to achieve the goals for which the Association was established, and your good offices that you exert through various activities to enhance joint work between the councils, we address you from the capital of the Republic of Yemen, Sana’a, of Arabism, history, and history, with all the values and ties of Arabism and Islam, common destiny, and brotherhood that unites us in one entity and spirit. To review the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, Yemen's clear and principled position on the aggression against Gaza and the choices taken by the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council in supporting the oppressed in Palestine and supporting them in the face of American Zionist arrogance.
It is no secret to you that the Zionist enemy entity committed over a period of 73 days of brutal massacres and genocide against women, children and displaced civilians in hospitals, schools and places of worship and abuse of prisoners and detainees, in full view of the whole world, in flagrant violation of divine laws, man-made laws and human values, it is organized terrorism committed by the Zionist entity, using all types of internationally prohibited weapons, delving into murder and destruction, committing genocide and war crimes against humanity.
Since the first day of the aggression against the Gaza Strip, and with direct support from America, global Zionism, and Western countries, the Zionist entity has deliberately isolated the Palestinian people from its Arab surroundings and left them in the arena of confrontation alone, without a helper, in an effort to liquidate the Palestinian cause and Judaize Jerusalem, temporally and spatially, and without support from some Arab regimes. The Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves and lift the siege on Gaza, except for statements of denunciation and denunciation, to which the usurping entity did not attach any importance.
The position of the Republic of Yemen came out of the religious, humanitarian, Arab, national and humanitarian duty towards the central and fundamental issue of the entire nation, Palestine, and we confirm through you to the members of the esteemed association and to the whole world that the Yemeni leadership and its armed forces did not make these choices in order to threaten international navigation in the Red Sea as the enemy’s mouthpieces are trying to do. Whoever is in the orbit of promoting it, but this measure is limited to the ships of the Zionist entity and the ships heading to its ports to supply it with various goods and supplies at a time when the Palestinian people suffer from a complete lack of the most basic components of human life.
We note in this context that the Republic of Yemen did not take this measure in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and Bab al-Mandab during the Saudi-US aggression and the unjust siege on our people for about nine years, despite what this measure could have achieved for the Yemeni people in terms of changing the equation of the conflict. > ايمان المتوكل: However, the leadership saw the necessity of Taking this measure is in support of the oppressed in Gaza at this difficult time in which the Palestinian people are unfortunately left facing Zionist arrogance and its brutal crime that has wiped out entire families.
We strongly condemn the double international standards and the position of America and a number of Western countries and their announcement of the formation of so-called international forces in the Red Sea without any legal justification, which confirms America’s bias in supporting the Zionist entity to commit more crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians at the same time that it does not see it. It is the right of the Arab and Islamic peoples to provide support and assistance to the Palestinian people and lift the injustice imposed on them. This American step is a dangerous escalation that may lead to a threat to navigation in the Red Sea.
Based on the above, we renew to you and to the whole world the Republic of Yemen’s affirmation and concern for the security and safety of navigation in the Red Sea and territorial waters, and that the operations of the Yemeni armed forces will cease immediately after the siege on Gaza is lifted and the aggression against it ends.
We hope that you will kindly inform and act urgently and call for holding an international conference at the level of member states to stand up to the continued dangerous escalation carried out by the Zionist occupation in the Palestinian territories and to come up with decisions that contribute to pressuring the United Nations and the Security Council to take urgent action to stop the bleeding of Palestinian blood, stop the Zionist aggression, and end the occupation quickly. Introduction of humanitarian supplies, including food and medicine, to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
