MOSCOW December 10. 2023 (Saba) - The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned on Monday the Danish ambassador to Moscow, against the backdrop of "provocative statements" made through the Danish media about the activity of foreign companies in Russia.
According to the Russia Today website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated to the Danish ambassador that his assessments of the Russian economy and legal foundations were unacceptable and represented interference in internal affairs.
The Foreign Ministry's statement on the ministry's website stated that such assessments and speculations constitute a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.
The Ministry stressed that the main damage to the work of foreign companies in Russia, including Danish ones, resulted from the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the EU and the US.
